Nobu - Restaurant Week

Restaurant Week is the bomb. Three courses for $25 at fancy-shmancy places you can't afford? Yes please.

I went to Nobu, a place even my dad had heard of. If my dad's heard of it, it's mainstream. I hadn't actually heard of it before. Ok, I'm gonna take off my hipster glasses now.

Appetizer - Black Cod Miso

This was easily my favorite dish, with the cod seared just write to have a crunchy, burnt edge. The seasoning was just the right amount of sweetness and fish itself was very tender. The best fish tacos in the history of fish tacos.

Main Course - Assorted Sushi

A good assortment of raw fish over rice. I liked the heavy wasabi use in connecting the fish and the rice. The piece in the bottom right corner blew my mind. Not sure if it was squid, flounder, or something else. But it was SO fatty and soft. Amazing.

Dessert - Blueberry Pavlova 

The texture of the pavlova was great. It was light and complemented the ice cream well, while adding a bit of tartness.
