Super Bowl Sunday Part 3 - Kelly Rowland and Nas
Kelly Rowland came on stage around midnight. Luckily, I was only a row or two behind the front stage so I was up close to the music. The music was really loud and I could still feel my head ringing by the time I got home at 4:30am.
I really liked her performance. It was really energetic and playful and everyone around me was having a good time. At one point while she was singing, she put her arm on the security guard in front of the stage. He was looking towards the crowd, so he was completely startled when that happened. It looked like a spider had fallen on his head and he was trying desperately to get it out.
Nas was also really good. My only gripe was that we had to stand in the crowd waiting for OVER AN HOUR. There were moments where I felt like I was gonna pass out from exhaustion/dehydration. He had a strong stage presence and really knew how to strike a sentimental chord with his longevity in music and his New York roots.
Jay-Z and Beyonce were also at the after party. Now that's some good company.
Coat check took at least 30 minutes to finally get out of the building and the drive back to New Jersey was exhausting (three separate car rides). Nonetheless, I was really happy at 5am going to bed and knowing that I had a great night.
